Top Farm House is located in the village of Knockin half-way between Shrewsbury and Oswestry in Shropshire England.
The village dates back to the 12th century, Cadfael’s time, (Ellis Peters fictional detective monk).
The surrounding Welsh Marches countryside is an area of natural beauty which remains quiet and unspoilt. It provides ample opportunity for rambling, horse riding, fishing and golf.
Nearby are the historic, medieval towns of Shrewsbury and Chester. Chirk and Powis castles are close.
The Shropshire Lake District and Ironbridge, the "Birthplace of Industry" are within easy driving distance, as is Snowdonia, Manchester & Liverpool airports are only an hours drive away, Holyhead and the Irish ferry, 2 hours.
We are fortunate enough to be close to the village shop and post office. Within easy reach of excellent eating places and within walking distance of the local pub where food is also available. Dogs welcome !
